About Me
I am an archaeologist with a research focus in ancient magic and ritual practice. My work comprises the Egyptian, Greek, and Roman record, both, archaeological and textual sources.

- M.A. in Roman Provincial Archaeology, Pre- and Early History, Egyptology (minor) and Classical Archaeology (minor) (University of Mainz)
- PhD in Ancient Cultures / Department of Ancient History (University of Erfurt) – I analysed the making and use of 268 ancient magical artefacts based on instructions preserved in the Egyptian and Greek magical papyri.
- Post-Doc: Six years of research in ancient magic, focusing on ancient magic signs (University of Heidelberg, Institute of Egyptology; University of Erfurt, Department of Ancient History)
In 2022 I started to share my research online for free with a broad audience. Due to the drastic policy changes by Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter and their increasing exploitation of creators and their content, I deleted my social media channels in 2024.
I now focus on finalizing my books about ancient magic signs, which will be avaialable for download for free of course, and making as much of my work available online here for free.
