Bainchôôôch

In Gnostic belief, Bainchôôôch was a triple-powered deity and neither a “vox magica” nor an epithet of a higher power.

Here is a quote from an ancient Coptic-Gnostic Book called Pistis Sophia by modern scholars. This is one of the most important Coptic-Gnostic texts known to us today. It reproduces doctrinal conversations which Jesus holds with his disciples after his resurrection. In chapter 147 we read:

“Jesus said:When the time of such a man is completed through the sphere, the receivers of Bainchôôôch, who is one of the triple-powered gods, come after his soul and lead his soul with joy and exultation and spend three days circling round with it and instructing it concerning the creations of the world with joy and exultation.”
