Ancient Egyptian Faience Amulet of Pataikos

Pataikos was a protective deity worshipped in ancient Egypt. He was closely associated with “Horus the Child”, the god Aha, and Aha’s later form Bes.

Pataikos and related deities are frequently depicted as subjugtors of violent natural forces and he is often shown stepping upon and grasping crocodiles, snakes, and scorpions.
